Precedent steering wheel removal
Have a 15 precedent excel fleet car and the score card cover plate is held on by 2 hex screws that none of my sockets can fit well enough / to wide for the hole (insert joke here)...
Anyone know the size so I can run to depot and pick something up? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Precedent steering wheel removal
I have a few sockets that I have (over the years) chucked up in a drill and run against the grinding wheel or sanding belt until they fit similar situations.

Re: Precedent steering wheel removal
I bought a 5/16" nut-driver from harbor freight and took it to the grinding wheel just for this purpose. It works perfectly.

It's a #12-16 X 0.50 so 5/16 makes sense... Now to find someone to grind down a bit for me

Thanks as usual Td, local shop ground it down, snug but works perfectly.

Re: Precedent steering wheel removal
Good deal. Grind it some more and it won't be snug. The walls on my nut driver are paper thin.
