Shocks
Hey, just put a set of heavy duty springs on this old '96 DS. Question is do I shocks? The old ones are too short and I'm really not seeing the advantage to replacing them. Rides good, just for putt'n around the resort.

Re: Shocks
The shocks are more of an absorber more than a shock. Some people elect not to use them, especially if you're not planning on hauling a lot of weight in the back.
You could get a shock extender kit that's needed when using HD rear springs: https://www.golfcartking.com/shock-e...997-and-older/ Or you could do like I did and install a set of Monroe shocks on the rear: https://www.walmart.com/ip/43970873 |

Re: Shocks
Shocks are to keep the cart from bouncing up and down when you hit a bump. They do not make the cart ride smooth over the bumps, they just keep it from bouncing up and down after the bump.

Re: Shocks
Stand on the back of the cart. Jump off. If the body bounces more than once, you need shocks.

Re: Shocks
Ncpw.....will the Monroe shocks still fit if I flipped the brackets of the brake lines on the 6" lift?
