04 ds no go
I have a 04 ds that I am working g on that wasn't running. I just put a new f r switch in because it was melted at the terminals/buss bar. It still is not running, I have 50 volts. I have noticed that there is no noise coming from the solenoid and that I had power at all times from all terminals. I am completely lost, I have jumped terminals on the solenoid and it did nothing I jumped the obc and it did nothing. I'm at a loss.

Re: 04 ds no go
You jumped the big terminals on the solenoid and it would not run?
AND before jumping the solenoid will not click? |

Re: 04 ds no go
What procedure did you use to jump the OBC?

Re: 04 ds no go
I don't remember how? I cant find the write up I used. If I need to I can do it again. The customer said his grandkids were shifting it back in forth (has a floor mounted shifter) and reverse went out then forward went out shortly after. I found that the backside of the switch was melted so I started there, I could have improperly hooked the wires back up on the switch but from the schematics I have found it appears to be all the same but they also moved the switch to the bottom of the battery tray support for the shifter.

Re: 04 ds no go
If the solenoid isn't clicking the F&R switch isn't the culprit unless you have the micro switches hooked up wrong. The forward most micro switch on the F&R should have a green wire with a white stripe and a white wire with a black stripe. Middle micro will be red and orange, rear micro will be Green, White, Black.

Re: 04 ds no go
You either have a bad OBC, bad wiring, a failed key switch, or a failed micro-switch.
Install a temporary jumper from the solenoid SMALL post with the yellow wire, to the Main negative battery post and see if the car will run. If it does, replace the OBC or eliminate it in favor of a smart charger that doesn't require the OBC. |

Re: 04 ds no go
Ok when I jumped it, it did nothing. All the micro switches are new with the fr switch I installed. What should my volts be on the solenoid and on the motor?
