Default Smoking Charging Receptacle

Had to unplug the charger when I saw smoke coming from the back side of the charging receptacle. What should I look at?

Fire insurance

Likely you have some very loose or corroded connections.
If you are wanting to repair this yourself, remove the receptacle from the cart.
The small bolts are hard to reach even on the bench. I had to grind down the wall on a small socket to fit in the space provided. Do this by spinning the socket against a grinding wheel (preferably in a drill or).
Make new 10g charge leads and you should have something like this below when done.
If you are not wanting to do this by yourself... or just too busy I'm sure you can buy a new receptacle and charge leads online or at a dealer.

You may eliminate the fuse as 90% of the carts do not employ a fuse. The DS integrated fuse is subject to corrosion and can be a problem itself. An inline 30-50amp fuse is available at any auto parts house. This can be bolted inline between the charge lead & either battery main. Good luck
