solenoid
I was reading in the forums about how to test the solenoid when I put a meter on the two little posts of the solenoid it reads 36v with the key on and I push the pedal down the voltage drops to 7.3. Is this normal?

Re: solenoid
Put your negative lead of your volt meter on the B- of either the battery pack or the controller. Now with the key off you should read your full battery pack voltage on the large post of the solenoid connected to B+ ( either at the battery or the controller ). The other large post should be slightly less. Key on, F/R switch in either F or R, push down the pedal just a bit and see if you hear a click. If so when it clicks, the voltages should match on both the large terminals. No click, something is wrong in the activation circuit ( small wires )
The stickys have wiring diagrams that will make tracing circuits easier! |
