There appears to be some miscommunication going on here.

In his first post, BACKWOODS identified his cart as a "1998 EZGO DCS WITH 500 ALLTRAX CONTROLLER."

That would mean he has Alltrax DCX500.

I suspect the ITS test voltages given are for an AXE because it says to measure between pins 2 & 3.
The ITS sensor is connected to pins 1 & 2 on a DCX.

Are the ITS voltages the same for an AXE and a DCX, but just on a different pair of pins?

UPDATE:
I got around to testing today.1st off cart does not move now only solenoid clicks.Battery packs measure 37.6 volts.Test pin1 to pin 2 (black to white) shows 11.45 peddle up and peddle down solenoid clicks no change 11.45 volts.
Turn key on controller shows 4 green flashes followed by 6 red flashes then solid green.
What should I check next?

Here is what Scotty posted for the ITS checkout for an Alltrax controller

Alltrax ITS throttle signal test:

Test pin #2 to Pin #3
Peddle up reading should be 10v down should be 6v
12v = bad ITS 14v = Open circuit.

On a DCX the pins are 1 & 2, but the voltages should be as stated.

The 11.5V is out of range, so I'd take a really close look at the ITS wiring and sensor.

diagram shows 1 and 2 as its
checked 2 and 3 and come up with 36.6

OK AFTER FURTHER CHECKING OPENED up ITS box.
FOUND THAT SOMEHOW BLACK WIRE HAD FALLEN IN FRONT OF PLUNGER AND WAS NEARLY CUT IN HALF.PUTCRIMPED WIRE TOGRTHER AND NOW SEE 12.19 VOLTS BUT STILL NO MOVEMENT.There was some water present in box with a little corrosion starting around big head side of plunger near switch.Plunger itself was still shiny.

Throttle input pins are 1 & 2 on DCX and 2 & 3 on an AXE. That fact gets lost in the shuffle sometimes.

What you are measuring between 2 & 3 on a DCX is one side of the ITS coil and the negative side of the Reverse Beeper, so the measurement is essentially meaningless and serves no viable purpose.

Sounds like you need some a new ITS sensor coil and/or some new wiring.

The corrosion you describe should be cleaned off before it migrates into the microswitch, but it probably isn't causing any problems at the present.

I don't know how the controller reacts when the ITS voltage between Pins 1 & 2 is out of range.

Give Alltrax a call and ask them.
