I have a Harley Davidson Electric 8D 15681 H6. that just died and locked up the brakes at the same time and it won't take a charge. I need help and or a manual to help me, please.

Re: Electric golf cart trouble shooting
It's nice to see another HD owner here on BGW. These are neat old carts. According to your serial number, you have a 1976 model DE40. Here is the wiring diagram for your cart: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/attac...odel-de-40.jpg For the charging issue, remove the access cover for the solenoids and verify that the accelerator wiper is returning to its rest position. If it doesn't, the cart won't charge. Regarding the brakes, I would lubricate everything (pedal, cable, linkage, caliper) with WD-40. That should free things up. Good luck! |
