performance on club car ds
so after reading all the upgrades if i started out with bigger springs and belt would that help out with torque or do i need to do something with that also

I’ve got a 2002 ds I got stock, I have had my clutch machined by cart parts plus, added the spring, still am running a New OEM belt, added a drop in panel filter and the jet. I inspected my drive clutch and went ahead and replaced the weights thrust washer and buttons. The cart runs 24 mph on 23” tires with the rev limiter still in hooked up and still has plenty of pep out of the hole with the large tires.

^^^ Gotta agree....If I've learned anything from all my years of CVT/Snowmobiles. Clutching tweaks can do more than many, if not most engine tweaks. But taken together you can do wonders... It's all bout matching the engine revs/load to the clutching. That's where the magic happens. Just don't make too many changes at one time because it makes it harder to tell where the real boost came from. Then you're a dog chasing tail...
