Default 87 cc no spark

i have 87 cc just bought it. it has no spark. not sure where to start. which is more likely to be bad ignitor or exciting coil. it also is pumping out oil from the vacumm port when it is cranked what can that be?

welcome...........it shouldn,t have an ignitor so its gonna be either the coil or the exitor coil.........i would try the coil 1st......does the coil have an rpm limitor mounted on top of it? maybe thats what you think is the ignitor...............has for oil have you checked to make sure its not over full?? only need 40 oz,s 30 wt.................................

Could also be a bad micro switch. Put it in Maintenance Mode and see if you get spark. See Nano's post about his Carryall that starts in Maint. Mode but no spark otherwise. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...not-start.html

thanks for the help I meant the ignition coil some part places call it an ignitor coil. I cranked the motor over again tonight and at times I am getting a weak spark still think ignition coil?
I just changed the oil and the level is good but that port does not seem to produce any suction.

[QUOTE=DONH;630898]sorry new to golf carts. what is maintenance mode?[/QUOTUnder the seat Don is the back end of the F/R lever. If you Pull out and turn this yellow cam 180 degrees the cart will start but not move.= maintenance mode.

Have you checked your compression? Make sure your pulse line doesn't have a sag in it that is lower than the port where the line connects to the engine.

for the spark try unplugging and re-plugging the coil in where it connects to the exitor coil........you,ll see the pigtail down there........they sometimes come just loose enough that you get just a weak spark but not enough to start cart..........if that dosn,t work i would change the coil 1st..........as for oil follow the above advice................................
