No not yet. Its on an auction, and the auctioneer that I called gave me a six digit s/n. It didn't work on the ezgo site, and i'm sure the s/n should be longer.
I told him to look under the passenger glove compartment. He must have wrote down the first number he found. Sorry, I know very little about ezgo carts. |

This one has the sideways drive. Do these have reverse? Does the motor run backwards like a Yamaha g1?

we used a 5' lift off ebay that came from mich. and was less than $99. easy to install, basicallly just blocks (risers). have 22x10 tires from a site sponsor.

OK, that pic cinched it - it's a 1988 (can't mistake that one-year-only muffler) standard cart (not a GXT800 - engine bay is all wrong for a GXT800, rails too short, etc) with an aftermarket dump box ... The drive on these is the same as with all 2PG-engined carts, the engine runs normally for forward and actually runs BACKWARDS when the cart is in reverse ...
Other than a few parts that are unique to the 88 models, these are pretty straightforward, reliable carts, as well as relatively easy to repair and/or maintain if you're handy with basic tools, etc. |

Here's a pic of my buddies GXT, note the longer rear section (also a dead giveaway is if there is a bagwell under the dump box - the GXT's box was attached directly to the frame and had nothing but open air under it) ...

How quickly do they switch from forward to reverse? It would be annoying to have a long delay with my extreme lack of patience of non-performance.
 I'm assuming this is a two stroke then like a G1? The reverse rotation concept would not work well with the whole 4-stroke valve system. |
