I still haven't got it running right. So far I've tried the 2 wire coil without a limiter and had no fire. I've also tried a 4 pin hei module and automotive coil. The cart will idle with the hei module and coil. But has little power and will not accelerate at all.
The 4 pin hei module was used on cars and trucks with mechanical timing advance. I think the golf cart needs something to advance the timing. But I am unsure. Maybe the rpm limiter does more than just limit the rpms. Maybe it also advances the timing. |
