Default 92 Marathon gasser 'smell'

We recently purchased a 92 gasser and notice it has a fairly strong gas smell when it is running.

We love how it runs and the get up and go it has but the gas smell is just so noticeable no matter what.

Is that just how it runs or is there something we may be able to do to at curb part of the smell?

My current idea is to start stashing air fresheners here and there on the cart itself though I'm not sure it'd help.

Smelling gas when running is an indication of a leak or carberator flooding....take a good long look around the tank, the filler cap, the lines, filters, aircleaner, and carberator for a wet spot....put your cigarrette out first

Check your PCV hose on the underneath part of your air box too. If it came off, you could smell fumes from that.
