Default Another Hsky TXT build

Hello,

I recevied my Hsky from Bigbattery yesterday and will be installing it this weekend pending free time. I have a few questions in the mean time:

I watched a install video on youtube and read a few install posts, it seems like a lot of people are using distribution posts. Is this something I should install? Or is this due to space?

I received two cables of which I attached pictures below along with a diagram to connect. Is it ok to connect the charger as I have shown?

Anything else I should watch out for or do? The cart specifics are in signature below

Thanks

Default Re: Another Hsky TXT build

you can do it that way, it will work just fine.

With the Husky, I recommend installing an on-board computer, and a simple 110volt timer. That way, you can dial in how much recharge is needed. I found that the Lester Summitt II, for whatever reason, would not fully shut off for many hours after the battery had reached 100%. The concerns about overcharging LFP batteries are real and thus do your best to avoid that issue.

So, if you use an on-board charger, you would simply use the SB174 and ring terminal setup, with a distribution block for all downstream connections. The on-board computer connects between the ring terminal and distribution block. Thus, everything passes through the on-board computer.

The voltage display for the Husky is not precise enough for determining remaining charge.
