Baby seat on a cart?
To start off with... Not my baby, not my cart, not my idea.
The boss just had a newborn back around christmas, and asked me if there's a way to secure a baby car-seat to a golf cart, so they can use the cart in the summer around the property and not have to have someone hold the baby everywhere. I can see a few ways it could work, but figured it might help to ask if any of you guys have strapped a baby seat onto your cart, and if you have any pics of where you attached it? |

Re: Baby seat on a cart?
The ex-Californian in me says don't touch this with a ten foot pole!!
Here in Utah I see all kinds of stuff (and it makes me smile!), but I would still probably stay away from that one! |

Re: Baby seat on a cart?
Any details on what the cart is? I too would not be too keen on giving someone advice on how to do this...15-20 years ago sure...Today everyone is looking to blame someone for when things go sideways...

Re: Baby seat on a cart?
Come on man!
It's honestly probably safer than putting one in an actual car. My carts only go 12mph tops downhill with a tail wind, and even if you rolled it on it's side a car seat has it's own belts and enough padding to land a rover on mars. I guess fishing line and duct tape will have to do... |

Well if you're already committed I'd up the fishing line to baling wire.....

Re: Baby seat on a cart?
They do make bases for car baby seats so that might work for you. It would mount to the cart seat then the car seat locks into it.

I had to save the best suggestion until I heard all the others. Without a doubt, this is what he needs:

Re: Baby seat on a cart?
I would say buy a seat belt bracket, mount some D rings and use a ratchet strap. Back when we had our first kid in 1993 all the car seats were just held in with a rear lap belt, the ratchet strap would seem to hold more consistent than a cart seat belt
