Actually I have a 650 amp controller and wiring....just been lazy and haven`t installed it. I really bought it for my Sebring electric Commuta car. The old style mechanical solenoids burnt out and you can`t get them to replace them so I bought it for that car. Nice little car, I just lost interest in it.

You just need a potentiometer to match that controller. What voltage is it? 650 amps is plenty big!

Not sure how low it will go. They just said it was good for 48 to 72 volts. I told them what the application was for and its what I got. Now you`re gonna make me go look it up tomorrow aren`t ya!!. I don`t know if its stated on the controller or not. Heck I`ll have trouble finding the schematic for it. I may be backwards on this , but I think they said it was for a series wound motor and I would have to short between 2 of the motor terminals and use the controller to switch between forward and reverse. I`d have to find the papers I got with it to know exactly what I mean. The F-R switch is in the wiring. I know I have a lot of money tied up in it and its just sitting.

if your gonna convert the cart to a controller cart make sure with a 650 amp controller you upgrade all cables, solenoids, F&R switch ...everything to heavy duty and one more thing you might have to upgrade the motor......check into it.........i know they recomend after approx 400 amp controller to upgrade motor.......................

With the controller I have, it does away with solenoids and the f/r switch I have already upgraded the wiring to 2 gauge. Motor I`ll probably fry before its over with, then we upgrade it. But for the moment I`ll stick with what I have and replace the solenoids with those I have in stock. I don`t do a full out run that often. For that I have another I`m working on.
