Does the fact I can push the cart easily when the switch in the run position point to a speed sensor issue? I don't get an error code for that. What voltage should I be seeing on J3 1+2?

1. Maybe, it should push easy in the Tow position, but when in the Run position it should beep and the regen braking should kick in when you push the cart faster than about 3 MPH.

2. J3 goes to the Run/Tow switch. In Run, you should have full battery pack voltage on all 4 pins. In Tow, only two of the should have battery pack voltage on them. (It looks like pins 1 and 3 are the ones that will have voltage all the time and pins 2 and 4 are the switched legs.)

Ok. Run/tow switch has 28.9v on 1, and 38.9v on 4. Pack voltage is 38.9v.

Sorry, make that 28.9 on 1 and 38.9 on 3. Pack voltage is 38.9.

Since the pack voltage is 38.9V, you're losing about 10V somewhere.

The voltage path starts at the solenoid's battery side large terminal, through the wiring harness to J1 Pin-5 and then through the controller to J3-Pin1.

Is the voltage at J1 Pin-5 38.9V, or is it low also?

What is the voltage at J3 Pin-1 in the controller when plug to Run/Tow switch is unplugged?

If you are losing the 10V in the controller, the controller is most likely bad.

J1-5 is pack voltage, J3-1 socket is 28.9. Now to find a new controller. Thank you and ski-doo583 for your assistance, time and effort. It is much appreciated.

The best option for PDS carts is the XCT400 from Alltrax. Get it with the SW180 solenoid in a pkg. deal

This cart is stock and used by our security people on campus. They run it for an 8 to 12 hour shift driving on concrete. What are the advantages going to be installing the xct 400 with sw 180 solenoid?

Can this cart be driven as it is until they decide to get us a new controller?
