We had 16 inches of rain in 1 day, so I believe that is where the water came from.
I think I might drill a drain hole in the bottom of the box. Test drove it last night, and still accelerating on its own. Guess, I will order a new pedal box micro switch. |

The solenoid clicking when Key is on and direction selected, is related to the pedal microswitch.
Accelerating when the solenoid is closed and pedal not pushed, is related to the ITS sensor. While it appears to just be a coil of wire, the ITS sensor is full of electronics (attached schematic) and they do all sorts of strange things when they get wet. They are potted, but cracks develop in the potting compound as they age and moisture gets on the PC Board. |
