Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
Confirmed solenoid is bad, it failed test 1 above. New one on the way, will post results when it is installed.

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
New solenoid installed, key switch now works, goes backwards fine, no forward however the motor is making a noise. I hope the bad solenoid didn't mess up motor since I suspect it has been bad for a while. I checked battery voltage and one battery was around 4 volts so I am charging it separately. Will see what happens when it is back to 6+ volts. Thoughts?

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
I jacked up rear tires and sometimes they move in forward, sometimes just the buzz. Maybe a battery issue, back to charging.

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
No doubt it needs batteries, ones in it are from 2010/11 and they have been completely dead more than one due to solenoid issue. I plan to sell it, hoping not to buy batteries but may have too.

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
If You have 1/2 speed reverse, which is default, then batteries #1, #2 and #3 (#1 being pack positive), are only used for Forward speed.
If Your 4v battery is one of those three, that explains why You still have reverse. |

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
The 4 volt battery is the farthest to the right, closest to rear. I would think that would be #5 but not sure.

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
Look at the diagram that Crash posted, if Your battery is really #5 on that diagram, then that is not the cause for this problem.
Check all the wires from the FNR go the the correct places on the motor. Last edited by Sergio; 06-08-2016 at 06:44 PM.. Reason: revised |

Noticed it has a Club Car 3.5 HP motor which I don't think is stock, don't know if that matters

Re: 91 Club Car will not go foward
It would be #2 according to diagram, so it would be the problem, thanks.
