Default Ezgo txt body removal and frame cleanup

2001 ezgo series txt freedom, no lift

Im getting ready to remove/replace the body and Id like to clean everything up and protect it all as well. Ive been reading all I can, and watched a couple of videos, on removing the body so think Im pretty good there. Hopefully, anyway. ha, ha.

Ive come across a few different ideas on getting everything cleaned up and protecting the undercarriage. Right now Im thinking of the following:

-Baking soda and water to neutralize any battery acid.
-A good sanding to remove any rust and prepare for primer.
-Spray primer anything that got sanded, or needs protected, then follow with an enamel.
-Ive read about people having good luck with bed liner type sprays, and similar products, but am thinking I can do fine with a spray of enamel.

Thanks,
Justin

Sounds like a good plan. I highly recommend POR15. I sanded down my frame the best I could, used the POR15 metal cleaner and etching, and then painted entire frame with POR15 rust preventer paint.
