Default What kind is it? And why did it die?

This is one of the carts we have on campus and it has decided not to run anymore. It's been through a lot and has been pieced back together numerous times. I haven't been able to I.D. it. No tags or numbers to be found. It has the Curtis 1243-4320 controller and no run tow switch. The controller flashes one yellow when the batts are connected then nothing else. The Batt meter stays on with the top bar lit with key on or off. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, M.C.

What you have is a creation. It is a sepex cart with a different controller than most txts come with. I think this is the manual for it .

There might be a serial number engraved on top of the frame rail next to the right rear tire.

A creation indeed. Where is the F/R switch located and what does it look like?

F&R switch. Battery meter stays on until the batts are disconnected.

old Star 36 v carts use the 1243 curtis and look like an EZGO, what shape is the charging port. Star is round, Ezgo is rectangular. Regardless of manufacturer, on the controller you should have 36 volts on pin 16 when key is turned on and 36 volts on pin 15 when accelerator is pressed.

Thanks for the replies. Turns out no power on 16. Repaired wire, cart runs. Here is a Pic of the charger port. Have not been able to find the serial # but the frame is pretty nasty. Any clues as to why the charge meter L.E.D. stays on with the key off?

Found the wiring has been fooled with to bypass the key switch so the cart never shuts off. Cart runs normally now. Always interesting picking up the electrical where our maintenance guys leave off. Good group of guys though.
