Default Motor test results

1986 marathon 36v.

It just stopped working, drove it, a ways, parked it, came out and it wouldn't go.

I've got continuity between a1 - a2 & s1 - s2. I connected s1 to a2 and a car jumper battery to a1 & s2. I got a small spark then no movement..

Is the car jumper battery not enough to turn it?

Also, can you have a bad motor and still have correct continuity?

Thanks

I use a 12v jumper box every time I test motors this way.

You also have to make sure there is no continuity between the A terminals and the S terminals, as well as any terminal and the motor body.

There is no continuity between a and s terminals or the motor body. I'm assuming the motor I'd fine and some other component has failed or maybe a loose wire. This thing isn't in top shape, it was $100 has been running fine till this..
