Just test drove this 2014 Precedent and I'm impressed with it. The key switch deal is easy to use and secure. There is no way any kid could do more than pull the plug from the controller and then the cart would default to 'normal' or what I program as the slowest mode. Ha ha.
Switching between these 3 modes is like having 3 different carts in this motor/controller combo.
The normal mode as programmed is better than the average cart even at 250 amps and 3500 rpms.
Mode 1 is pleasantly exhilarating. Seriously out performs code 4 carts with 350 peak amps and 5000 rpms.
Mode 2 spins the tires, hits 28 mph, and freewheels with no regen. Whoo-Hoo

Charging for GPS tests this evening.

If I have to criticize the programming I would say the throttle rate is a tad fast yet in normal (slowest) mode. Somebody may want to turn that down to 35. and the regen may feel too strong for some but the intention is to stop the cart when the go pedal is no being held, safer for kids. On or off.

All in all ~ it's fun to drive
