I understand, but one of them has very course splines and the other is very fine. If you use the wrong one it has a tendency to spin.

The same thing happened to me on my 91 marathon gas. I used a long pipe (chain link), I pried between the frame and the wheel as I used a impact gun to remove the lug nuts. I was thinking I was gonna have to torch them off but it worked. Now I don't know if it is going to happen again. I am going to the auto parts store today and get new studs.

I was able to drill it out. Took a bit but was easy enough.

Is the hole in the brake drum smooth or is it splined like the stud? Mine are smooth and the stud just spins in the hole. I need bigger studs or my brake drum is messed up.
