Default More speed, more torque and a better suspension.

Last year I purchased a 1995 48v DS series cart. The body had been taken off and repainted, it has new batteries, and a 6" spindle lift with tires and rims were added.

Since then, I have added a windshield, led lights, brush guard, bushwhackers, new dash, voltage meter, rewrapped the front seats, completely rebuilt the back seats and painted the top.

There are two things I am not happy with:

1- the cart is too top heavy and leans a little to the left.

2- the cart is not fast enough. I cannot keep up to the newer electric carts or the gas carts in my campground.

From the research I have done, it looks like I will need to buy the following:

-new electric motor that increases speed as well as torque. (I want to go at least 20mph)
-new controller
-new solenoid
-new wires (4 gauge)
-a wire that runs through the computer to tell the cart to charge and stop charging.

I have the following questions:

- if I change the type of lift will I have he same top heavy issues? If not, what lift should I go with. Also, should I be replacing springs in the rear?

- am I missing anything from my list of parts needed to increase speed/torque on the cart?

- any recommendations on where I can purchase these parts? (I have seen them range from $1150-$2,000). If possible, I would like to purchase everything from a single vendor to save on the price as well as shipping costs (I live in Michigan)

Thank you in advance to anyone that takes he time out to read this thread and answer. I appreciate it.

Get parts from site Sponsors at the top. The experts will get with you, you can also look at the top of the club car page, all the info you need it there. Good luck. Just keep checking and you will end up with more options than you can wrap your head around.

Welcome to BGW
The 95 CC is a series drive cart. To read about series or sepex cart upgrades go here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/upgrade-suggestions.html

The series cart will need good batteries, HD F&R, Alltrax SR48500 control, 400 solenoid, 2g cable set, and Admiral A1 motor for up to 25 mph on big tires.

Do yourself a favor and do some research before making decisions. There are some simply amazing experts contributors to this site that also run incredibly professional businesses. You are looking at some significant upgrades to your cart and spending decent bucks on it. It's really helpful to research your needs, research what options are out there, and reaching out to multiple vendors to discuss options. Obtaining information can never be a bad thing.

Scotty and David can advise and cover your shopping list. Both have excellent post sale service. It may come down to shipping. David- east coast. Scotty- west coast. You'd be in good hands either way.
