Default Re: 94 CC DS 36 Volt With Controller issue

I meant to say "last year" not "only year", but regardless how short lived that design was, the diagram I posted is for this 94 model since it came out of the 94 manual.

rockfordpi, You have the activation circuit concept right.

The purpose of the micro-switch inside the MultiStep potentiometer (vlide) is to only activate the controller when you press the pedal.

The purpose of the limit switch on the FNR is to disable the controller (in case your foot is on the pedal) while you change directions.

The purpose of the "red wire" from the solenoid to Controller terminal #1 is to provide "logic" power to the controller at the same time the solenoid engages and provides the motor/drive power to the controller.

Since the solenoid engages when you apply power to the the black/white wire directly, there is no need to remove the diode from the solenoid as it is obviously not shorted.

Just trace your circuit from the key switch to the solenoid black/white wire and find out where the circuit is interrupted.

Just to update, it was the key switch which was working intermittently. replaced and fixed the problem, thanks to all for the help
