14 TXT Brake Pedal Sticking will not return

Have a 2014 TXT with brake pedal sticking, it will not return, you have to put your foot behind it and pull back up to release brake. There is a LOT of rust under there, soaked it good in penetrating oil.

At first there was no tension on the spring underneath, then I tightened up the spring and brake pedal would return, but brakes were locked. I only see two springs, one on the pedal pivot and one that connects to the brake cables, not sure which is supposed to bring it back.

Any help is appreciated

Try downloading the manual from the stickies. They have a whole chapter on brakes.
