Problem with the Lester is they are huge and the price is high, or you have to settle for a low amperage output to bring the price down.

Yeah True.... I guess my go-to is the DPI.

The Gen IV DPI Accusense claims to be weatherized and suitable for on board applications. I don't have personal experience, just reading their literature.

Here is some more information regarding the Controller 'Lockout' feature for when the charger is plugged.

If Your controller has a lockout input:
Bypassing club car iq-excel-obc Lockout feature
Since there was a reference to the lester summit, it is important that it is configured for "onboard use", which is usually a factory procedure, otherwise here is a solution:

If You order the DPI with the crowfoot (2-pins), you would not need to change anything.

In that case my two suggestions would be:
Run the DC cord (crowfoot) through the steering wheel so someone does not accidentally drive OFF with the charger still plugged to the cart.

Put red tape or a label on the DPI crowfoot connector to clearly identify it as 48v in case someone ever tries to borrow the charger.

Good ideas and a silver sharpie or label printer safely marks the 48v plug and receptacle
