Only getting 12 miles per charge

2010 precedent 6 8v config
Interstate 160ah batts 11/17 date code
D&d motor, non lifted
Went about 12-15 miles last night
Volt meter says 48.4 this morning which is 50%...

Seems really low to me. Like literally half what I should be getting. Anyone know what gives?

Sounds like you are losing a battery maybe. Check everything over, cables, battery water level, make sure everything is in good working order but I would check each battery for voltage to fine the one not happy.

160ah is below what I would recommend for amperage capacity. Low ah is like having a small gas tank in a car. On top of that you have a performance motor and maybe big tires (?) that could be sucking down the amps. I suggest to anybody that drives 15 miles to put the cart on a charger before going to bed.

Scotty that's what i figured. The cart was fully charged before I took it out. The batteries are brand new. I know they don't have full capacity yet until after break in. But 15 miles bringing me down to 50% s.o.c is unacceptable. Gonna swap em out for trojan t890's (205amps), rangers (225amp) or U.S. battery 8hatv (205 amp)

I am planning to install a lift and 23" tires this week's so I'll need the biggest "gas tank" I can get
