I currently use two cable locks one trough the roof supports and seat frame and steering wheel. The other goes through the wheel slot around the frame and around the 8X8 that the house is sitting on.
I also use the uncommon key ignitions. And have so far been ok, I am considering the boot, as I see them getting more popular in our area.

Hope they find the theirs and prosecute them.

Pin switch with loud alarm to get your attention. Can’t use a firearm, get a stun gun. The perp will drop like a sack of potatoes and you can finish him with a baseball bat.

I know you said you can't do this. But this is what I use when I'm outside the house. Similar but more accurate from distance when I'm inside.

Sit one of these on your cart.

OK! What a great resource BGW is, thank you all for the great ideas. I try to post some photos next week.
I've spent the last week trying out almost everything suggested and a few of my "shower ideas" (where I do my best thinking) and am at least leaning in the right direction. I set up a cart today with: a battery pack disconnect, a Club (bought the Amazon cheap one CL303, forgetting that Precedents have a wider brake pedal shaft, but have come up with another clever way to secure it (photos soon), an alarm system**, and a hidden on/off switch.***, and replaced the one-key-fits-all ignition switch.**** I'm having fun with this.

*I realize the cheap Club can be cut with large bolt cutters, but the same cutters can snip through the steering wheel. So the $100 Club is really no more protection.

**A motion detector alarm (runs off one battery out of the pack and has a back up 9v) with key remote control. I have played with a very inexpensive unit (Amazon $15.09) made by WINOMO and sold as a motorcycle anti-theft package. Very small and easy to conceal, and very, very loud. Comes with 2 remote controls. If it lasts, and doesn't have too many (more than one) false alarms, it is a remarkable little unit.
*** I'm going to use a different location on every cart. The next one is a old style foot dimmer switch with a rubber cap, mounted high on the inside firewall (about where they were mounted on cars.
**** This went where the old one was, but I think I'll put the next one on the bulk head (?) probably to the left of the F/R. I'll leave the old switch in place, but wired to a loud piezo alarm behind the dash.

Certainly one of the most intimidating sounds on the planet. AND EVERYONE knows it when they hear it.
