Default DS with Curtis Controller

My 90 DS cart originally had a Vglide system but I removed because I had replaced several components from I guess being lifted with larger tires. I had a EZGO with a Curtis controller so I removed everything from it( controller, All wiring, solenoid, FnR switch, throttle switch and solenoid). I also replaced all battery cables and batteries. The motor is still the original DS.

The first Controller would go wide open throttle as soon as pedal was pressed. While I was doing tests I found even without the throttle switch connected as soon as solenoid engaged I had wide open throttle. I would guess this is a bad controller

I installed another used controller I had and it doesn’t do anything. So I’m sure it’s a bad controller.

Now I have installed another controller I purchased new and it also does nothing

Just to be on safe side I installed a new FnR switch and another 0-5k ohm throttle switch.

With my original controller with WOT cart drives and runs great. The original controller has 4 main lugs and 3 small lugs on left. My new controller has 4 main lugs, 4 small lugs left, one on right and a spot for 4 prong plug

I have double checked my wiring and I think it’s correct. I am hoping someone with more experience will have a few ideas for me

Are you sure the ezgo has a 0-5k throttle? Most ezgos are an ITS throttle.

Pretty sure it is. Small metal box with spring loaded arm and has 2 wires(white & black) which connect to controller

Ok, then the controller probably came out of a Marathon. Time for the experts to chime in!
