The 96 club car DS that I want to start a project with has the same thing behind the batteries. I will have to go look and see how its hooked up in the cart that I have

After going out to look at the cart I have the coil is wired in between the big cables on the F&R contact that is mounted next to the solenoid in the back by the controller.

That is the standard "energy displacement" setup for the Regen 1, the one posted in this thread has no practical purpose.

I like the idea of a golf ball warmer. But here in central florida I don't think it's needed. We have a heat index of 107/111 It's a little warm outside
