Default 96 EZGO 36V runs fine on jack stands, not on pavement tho

Evening. Bought this 1996 EZGO 36v with the 1205-117 controller used because the previous owner gave up. It will run fine jacked up. Won't move on flat ground. I replaced the ITS because the voltage was not right, but good now, most of the time. Under load I'm getting 37volts from the battery pack. All microswithches are operating properly. Terminals are clear of corrosion, I used dilectric grease on everything. Motor is a plum fast purple. FR switch has been replaced, solenoid is new. The cable from B+ to the FR switch gets really hot so I'm thinking there's an issue there, but no discoloration on the terminals of the FR lever. I'm leaning towards the controller or possibly the motor brushes. I'm open for any suggestions. BTW, I'm a boat mechanic.

Well, what do you get from the batteries under load when the wheels on the ground?

What is the resting voltage of the pack?

Replace that cable.

Make sure you're not running a DCS (sepex) motor on a series cart.
