Play in Lift Kit?
I just got a 2004 Ezgo 36v that already had a lift kit installed. Never had a cart with a lift kit. I was noticing rather loud "clunks" at times, like hitting a bump, starting/stopping etc. Was underneath today spraying some Fluid Film and noticed that there's about a half-inch of play in the lift kit brackets (see pic) and I assume that's what's making the clunk as it slides back and forth. Is this normal? Should there be a spacer in there perhaps or just shorter bolts?

Re: Play in Lift Kit?
Yes, the bolts are too long and it looks like the bushings are also suspect.

Re: Play in Lift Kit?
Looks like your bolt sleeves are too long. If you have the means, just measure the width of your leaf spring, then cut the bolt sleeves down to the same width as your leaf spring. Problem solved.
