2011 Electric Club Car Question
Can anyone one help? I am installing a jack that contains 2 USB ports and a cigarette lighter jack that needs a constant 12v. I located a red and black wire behind the dash plate that contains the key switch that are not attached on one end. Are these a 12v source left open for a 12v item installation?

Re: 2011 Electric Club Car Question
I need a 12V lighter plug too. I don't know these carts well yet but in case no one else comes along, you can always get 12V across two batteries in the series and I think the recommended might be the first two from the negative at the end of the pack. Check with a multimeter. You definitely want an inline fuse near the battery so you don't burn he cart up and stuff near by if it ever shorts. You want to use a heavy enough wire and a fuse to match it. There may be a better place to connect for 12V but I don't think the key switch is the place. Mine is like 50V there and the wire is too small but it's likely a different cart than yours.
edit: I was assuming you had 6V batteries. |
