2003 PDS Charger Problem
Took my cart off the charger and used it. That afternoon when I plugged the charger in the contact on the charger clicked but the charger does not start. I switched to my electronic charger it clicks but does not charge. I have checked the wires from charging port to batteries and the fuse looks good. I am stumped where to go next. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
This might sound obvious, but are you sure you haven’t tripped the house breaker? Sounds like there might not be AC power getting to the charger.

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
I’d check the voltage at the charger port... it might be reading low

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
Will the cart run? Was it running ok when you parked it? if it will run check some voltages in the battery bank while operating. 34 volts is low but if it is enough to make two chargers click it should they should charge. You may have a poor connection somewhere in the battery bank connections or a failed battery. Check each battery voltage. That's about all I can suggest with the info available. Don't run the cart too much testing because your batteries are on their last leg. If you have a friend that has a similar cart you may try charging it with one of your chargers just to be sure but it is unlikely two charges are bad.

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
Yes my cart is running. When I unplugged it I went out and played 18 holes of golf on a very hilly golf course. Then drove back home, that’s when I plugged it back in and heard the click but not charging. I figure 34 volts after riding 18 holes is not bad. Good idea I will take my charger to work with me ( golf corse) and see if it works on a cart there.

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
I’m wondering if the reed switch in the charging port could have anything to do with the charger not kicking in??

Re: 2003 PDS Charger Problem
No. Different circuit. Could be a broken pin in the charger handle
