Default 2007 Precedent No full throttle

2007 Club Car Precedent Won’t accelerate past half throttle. Runs and drives perfect during slow acceleration and half throttle but as soon as you push throttle to floor the cart stops. This can be when driving around at half speed or directly from a dead stop. When the throttle hits full it’s doesn’t move at all. You can lift off the peddle then return it to half and cart will continue to move.

Batteries are 1 month old. I’ve changed the motor out solenoid and MCOR.

ANY Ideas?

Have you checked the battery voltage while driving? Even though they're new batteries, they could be weak. It sounds like a low voltage issue.

52.5 pack voltage sitting

Lowest I saw was 47.3 under acceleration

Full throttle cart stops and pack voltage begins to return to normal

Ok, that's not the problem. Has anybody changed the controller? The controller should be a black Curtis 1510-xxxx

That's your issue. The grey controller is designed to be used with the Excel system. Your 2007 has the IQ system. You have two options. Option A is to replace it with a compatible controller. Option B is to perform the following modifications to your vehicle wire harness.

1 - Cut the black/white wire located in Pin 13 of the controller 16 pin plug approximately 2" from the plug housing.

2 - Attach black/white wire to purple/white wire located in Pin 3 using a 3M Scotch-Lok or equivalent connector. Leave the 2" section of black/white wire in the plug housing and tape it off. It will no longer be used.

3 - Locate the 3-pin connector that plugs into the MCOR. Cut all three of the wires and install a resistor on each of them and reconnect them to the MCOR. The resistors need to be 461 ohm, 1/2 watt. If you can't find these exact resistors, a 470 will work just fine.

You may now use your Excel controller on your IQ car.
