The top speed of a series drive is determined by the voltage applied to the motor, the way motor is wound and the final drive ratio, less the mechanical drag. Changing the controller doesn't change any of those factors. In other words, to get more speed you'll need to do one or more of the following: 1. Go to a higher voltage battery pack. 2. Go to a motor that will spin faster for the voltage applied. 3. Go to taller tires or faster gears in differential. 4. Reduce mechanical drag. |
