Default Best charger for G29?

I'm starting to dabble with my 1st Yamaha and one of its issues may be the charger.

My neighbor went to the dealer and they were told that they needed a new charger, plug and connector. Previously someone had the cord and connector swapped with a 36v plug and receptacle when the original went bad. I will be back to look at it myself next week and take my measurements. In the meantime I will look at my potential parts list.

The dealer is saying the cart is not fully charging and is quoting $560, $170 parts and $390 labor...

Looking for recommendations for chargers to get or stay away from.

They come new with Delta Q. So figure that would be good. Rest I don't know. Not familiar with chargers

Dpi & lester are good. And I dont particularly hate the "yellow & black" QuiQ charger either.

If they are charging $390 labor to swap out charger & charge port, never go back there.

I agree with cgtech. I like the DPI because its a "transformer type charger. IE: transformer/relay and board and repairable if needed.

What about the MODz. They are only a couple hundred bucks. Anyone have experience with them?

Well, the "high frequency" chargers like that already have a bad enough reputation, going with the cheaper end of the ones that already have a bad record doesnt sound like too good of a deal to me. Spend the money as you wish, but, I wouldnt buy one.

"A couple hundred bucks"? Spend the extra $50 for a brand you have heard of before, with a reputation for backing their product & warranty. Dont know if Mods does good with their warranty, but I know the known names do.

Like i said, i wouldnt buy that.
