Default 2011 RXV - Broken rear axle bearings

Hi all, I have an electric 2011 RXV that was making a grinding / clunking noise that suddenly became much worse when I put it in reverse for a short distance yesterday. Found the issue was most likely the driver side rear axle bearing had completely shattered and the whole axle would move freely up & down while it was all assembled. The hubs and other components look good and nothing is stripped.

I was not able to extract the outer bearing casing and it seems to have grooved into the axle housing. There were shards of metal and the o-rings / gaskets were destroyed.

So my questions are:

1) Is there in fact a groove or seat in the housing that should be there?

2) Should some fluid have come out of the housing? None did in my case.

3) I'm considering replacing the whole thing with this part. Any thoughts?

4) Should I check anything else while I'm at it?

Thanks in advance!
