Motor upgrade
I have a 1988 club car which has become my w/end project. My last part was to upgrade the engine, so I replaced my 36v stock motor with a 36v high speed emotor. I upgraded the solenoids to 48v, all major wiring (like battery cables) to 2g and all regular wires to 16g, I also installed a new HD F&R switch. I took pictures of everything and went by the diagrams to re-install everything and/or I labeled all cables, and this was the end result;
-- HD H&R Switch sparkling and burning up when engaged -- Wheels will go without pressing down on the accelerator therefore, I need to put the cart in neutral to get the wheel from rotating. As You can see I am very bad mechanic and have no clue on how to work with electricity. Any help will be greatly appreciated |
