Re: New C54 conversion installed and car won’t move
Ok do you have the same voltage at the small red wire on J1 red? I can’t see in the pic very well how that’s connected at the controller, looks like there’s 2 red wires there. Guessing the Smaller wire is the + for the FN dial.
Also what type of throttle are you using? I only see one wire at the throttle J5? Green wire. Shouldn’t there be another signal wire from throttle back to the controller? They use yellow in Alltrax diagram, it looks like J5 is reference (positive out) to throttle wiper, and J4 is throttle signal in. Sorry, missed the post where you said solenoid clicks. Alltrax shows 1 green 6 red blinks means KSI in and B+ are more than 5v difference. So if solenoid clicks then need to make sure you have correct voltage at KSI pin on the controller. Make sure there is no poor connection or loose crimps at solenoid small + and at J1 red terminal. Also Scotty mentioned connections at the contactor, is your B+ Cable going from B+ on controller to the contactor? Rather than going to A1 at the motor? |

Re: New C54 conversion installed and car won’t move
What should my volts be at the red terminal and should the pedal be depressed when testing this? Per my wiring diagram it does not state that a wire belongs in F4 and the yellow wire stops at the inline fuse.
Checked it with the throttle depressed and we are getting 50.3 at J1. |

Ok, now also verify you’re getting pack voltage at B+ at the controller when the solenoid clicks.
Thanks for the diagram that’s different than the ones I’m looking at. And again which type of throttle are you using? MCOR, V-glide, something else? |

Re: New C54 conversion installed and car won’t move
This is the throttle that we have along with a picture of the solenoid completely hooked up. I have also attached a screenshot of a way to test the solenoid. Once the Controller B was disconnected we no longer got a clicking noise when throttle was pressed. But we believe it’s because we don’t have a full connection with the Controller B removed. We are getting voltage at B+ of 48 before it is depressed and 50 when it is depressed.

Picture of the throttle because it didn’t attach the first time.

Re: New C54 conversion installed and car won’t move
Upon further testing we have noticed that A1 and A2 are receiving power when we depress the throttle when we have it in gear. Should only one receive power when we have it in gear? Our thinking is that if they both have power then they are both trying to control the car, as in, trying to move it in reverse and forward at the same time.

Re: New C54 conversion installed and car won’t move
Sorry for the delay I've been busy in the shop today.
The controller has power (fault code 1-6 on LED) and the solenoid is clicking. Can you move one big cable on the solenoid so the 2 are on the same post (with the small wire) thus bypassing the solenoid. Do this with 1 or 2 rear wheels off the floor. |
