Anybody use 303 Aerospace Protectant?
Anybody use this stuff on their golf cart?
They used to sell it at the marina store and people really like it for their boat interiors. I'm wondering if this might be a good "Do-All" kinda product for the seats, plastic trim, body, roof, pretty much everything on a golf cart. It doesn't take long for our Precedents to start looking rough, and I have some stuff that works great on the black plastic trim, but it's time consuming to apply. It would be great to have something that I can spray on and wipe down with a rag and have it look good for a month or two, and also protect all the plastic and the vinyl seats. Especially if it keeps mold and mildew off the seats it would be awesome. |

Re: Anybody use 303 Aerospace Protectant?
I have used 303 protectant for years on an off road vehicle and now on my RXV. It works well, no silicone, no greasy film left over. It is easy to apply and I typically use a sponge which is effective on the textured surfaces.
It is a little pricey but I'll continue to use it as it just works. I can't address the mold/mildew issue as I have never experienced that. Here's what it can do. I recently detailed my son's neglected 2009 Scion. The engine bay was filthy. After a thorough rinse, I sprayed 303 everywhere and things looked like new. Before: After: |

I've used it as well (have a gallon under my workbench) and it works pretty well. It's got UV protection and should be what you are looking for.

303 is expensive because it’s the real deal. Lasts much longer than anything from the auto parts store. Can’t say anything about mold or algae as my stuff never stays dirty from more than a week.

Re: Anybody use 303 Aerospace Protectant?
So it does stay on for a while and doesn't wash off in the rain?
If it just washes off right away then it's probably not gonna be worth the price. I don't do small quantities, but if the stuff works, then a gallon will go a long way. We have big problems with mold/mildew growth on the seats of the carts here. These carts get used for dirty work, moving sweaty people, sit out in the Virginia hot rainy days, and summer humid nights. They're in the rain, on grass, beach sand at the lake, They get used for trash removal between activities, and people leave trash all over them. The seats usually have some kind of towel on them because people use the towels to wipe off dew/rain water from the seats in the mornings then quite often it gets left balled up in the middle of the seat. Between the dirt, moisture, people gunk, and heat, it doesn't take long for the seat to look like hell. I found some kick-butt mold/milder remover that knocks the crud right off but it's some serious rough stuff that you don't wanna spray every two weeks just to keep the seats somewhat clean. |
