48 volt to 12 volt converter recommendation
My 2002 48 volt Club Car DS blue it's 48 V0lt to 12 Volt reducer for the headlights, blinka's etc.
It had a SPS Electronics 20430 Installed with no fuses. Anyway, that's not available anymore so I'm looking for a recommendation for a good replacement. Thanks! Bill Foley The Villages |

Here is the one I have used. https://www.cartsunlimited.net/12v-reducers.html. from site sponsor. They also sell a fuse block to go with it.

Re: 48 volt to 12 volt converter recommendation
I've done it and it works well to keep the batteries balanced and when the key is turned off all accessories go off as well.
One recommendation is to power the converter via a 48 volt relay. The relay trigger (coil side) can be powered by the cart key switch. Having the relay will avoid "vampire" battery drain as the converter consumes power even if all accessories powered by it are turned off. Also get at least a 30 amp converter. The higher amperage converters tend to last longer compared to a 10 amp. |
