comes to stop then 3 beeps

New to the forum and in need of some advice.

I have a Club Car serial AQ0917-018918 with stock tires and a hazard light installed. Batteries were changed 3 weeks ago.

The problem i have is i will go full speed for about 10-20 feet and the cart will stop and give 3 short beeps. From there I can put it into revers and go a little ways then it will stop. Then i can put it in forward and go very slowly but if i try to give it some speed it will stop.

I have tired putting it in diag mode but does not seem to work.

I went and check the throttle position and found the TPS resistance would change if you had the accelerator rode installed and you would wiggle it back and forth. So I put in a new TPS and now if I give it full throttle it will stop and give me 2 short beeps.

Was wondering if some one had a beep chart due to my work will not buy me a scan tool or manual. I primarily work on Forklifts but we so happen to have 4 golf carts that i have to work on from time to time

check the magnet on the motor

Check the battery voltage when it is stopped on you while you are trying to go. Batteries should be charger anytime cart is not in use.

In 2009 Club Car used a tps to try to replace the mcor2...It caused a lot of problems and only lasted one year...If that is what you have it should be replaced with an mcor2...Contact Dave at revolution for info on it...

In addition to what's already been said, conduct a speed sensor test and report back with the results: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=68248

This also sounds like it could be 'solenoid dropout', though it is my understanding that this issue only affected the first year (2002) IQs. There is a simple harness that plugs in under the Run/Tow switch that alleviates this problem.
