The blue and white should provide the negative from the controller when pedal is pressed.
Either you are not getting that or you have a bad solenoid. Most likely bad solenoid. Take a photo of the wiring for reference. Unhook main battery leads from battery pack. Remove solenoid. |

Think I should try a new solinoid? Is it possible that a bad solinoid still wouldn't start with a jumper then

A bad solenoid will not start with a jumper. If you feel comfortable with jumping 48v negative to the other post do so. Be careful. It is easy to short out something and make things worse.

Make sure you get a 48v GOLF CART SOLENOID. Nothing else will work.
