Default Adding USB to 2018 RXV

I have a 2018 RXV. I noticed a question yesterday about use of a black wire and yellow wire under the cup holder that could be used for a USB port (I presume it could be used for other accessories as well). I also have these wires, but get no readings of power with key on or off. Should there be power? Is there something I should be looking for such as a fuse that may be blown? I have not peeled apart the dash to look at his better but wondered what I should be looking for. The only thing added to this cart when new was a turn signal kit that was pretty much plug and play. Could that have affected these wires? Thanks.

check under seat to the right of tow /run storage switch, see if you have a black fuse holder there and unclip it should be a 10 amp fuse, check it to be good, not blown. has solid yellow wires to it,,,,,,not 100% sure but I would check it.

Thumbs up Re: Adding USB to 2018 RXV

Thanks Roger1224! I had a blown fuse. I have actually two fuse holders. The one with two solid yellow wires was fine (they had just one 10 amp fuse). There is a larger fuse holder next to it that has other 10 amp fuses for the headlights, horn and also the brake light relay. The fuse for the 12v accessory was blown - replaced, now have power to those wires under the cup holder.

Might want to get one with both usb and a 12 volt plug, so you could use a air pump if you need in the woods, ect.

I would not attempt to run a pump off the little yellow & black wires, they're not big enough.

12v is a good idea, but I was only looking to charge my phone. The closest I get to the woods is when I slice my golf balls into them!
