G29 Weird Shock Mount
I bought a used 2010 G29 cart a couple weeks ago. I found rust on the frame so I am doing a body-off restoration. Here's a bunch of pictures showing how the previous owner connected the front struts.
https:// imgur.com/a/wuCfWPx -- I am new to the forums so I can't post links. Please remove the space in the URL before imgur Has anyone seen this done before? I have no idea why he did it. I'm not familiar enough with the G29 to know if there is frame damage or any reason why it's done this way. It's a 6" Jakes lift. Would appreciate your feedback. My plan right now is to cut off the angle iron that's welded on and attach the trust's properly. |

Re: G29 Weird Shock Mount
It looks like he was trying to adjust the camber and ride height by modifying the upper strut mount location. I would be interested to see what your camber looks like when you bolt the strut into the original location.
