Re: 2002 ezgo txt
Looks like the 200Ω is the lowest. Use that from the first two ohm measurements.
Looks like 2MΩ is the highest, use it for the last two. If A1 to F1 and F1 to Motor Case reads "0" on the 2MΩ scale, turn the selector down to progressively lower scales until you get a reading. However, those two readings, as is, do indicate a sick motor. |

Re: 2002 ezgo txt
Okay went back and tested the first two items. A1 to A2 on the lowest setting the meter read OL with pedal pressed. Went b+ on controller to A1 on the motor with out pedal pressed had a 32.3. With pedal pressed it went to OL

Never, ever, REPEAT - NEVER, apply voltage to an Ohmmeter. The Ohmmeter supplies its own voltage and if an external voltage is applied, it can burn out the meter, or if you are lucky, just screw up the calibration. If you are extremely lucky, the Ohmmeter may have been protected from gross errors such as that. |

Re: 2002 ezgo txt
Re-Read my post#7.
I said to disconnect the cables from the motor and then use an Ohmmeter to measure between the points listed. A1 terminal on motor to F1 terminal on motor, with no cables connected to motor. Okay to leave speed sensor connected since the sensor is plastic coated and does not make a direct electrical connection to motor. |

Re: 2002 ezgo txt
Sorry to be a pain. So A1 to F1 on the high setting read .007. From F-1 to motor case reading was .028

Back in your post#8 you said A1 to A2 was 0.56 with motor disconnected. That is 560,000Ω if it was on the 2MΩ scale and it is supposed to be 1Ω or less. And F1 to F2 was .066 which is 66,000Ω and supposed to be about 1Ω or 2Ω. So the motor is junk or the meter reading is way off due to the scale used. See what they measure on the 200Ω scale. If they are still a lot higher than the specs, the motor will probably need to be replaced. |

Okay Johnny B. Went and bought a new set of alligator clips. Re tested A1 to A2 .002 reading on the high setting. F1 to F2 was also .002

Re: 2002 ezgo txt
The numbers were a lot higher. I will replace the motor. Thanks for the help.
