Angry 91 gas ez-go

I'm a new member that needs help. The cart that I bought has a club car start/gen. and the battery will not charge. I am replacing it with a new ezgo. The old owner said that they pulled the wires that they thought they did not need and there is about 10 broken and taped wires that I need to replace. After reading many of the post that were helpful I would really like a wiring diagram or anything else that might help. my email is gerp1121@verizon.net
Thanks for any help you all can give.

Hi gerpman,
89 2 stroke wiring... I don't know how to post the link...Duh!
It's here. Go to home page, down to EZ GO Gas, gas tech, Anyone need a manual...
You'll find the diagram you want near the bottom.
We have a lot of info here. I still can't find it all. Good hunting!

Oh, Welcome!!

OK I picked a new star/gen and hooked it up. The electrical placed that I bought it from says that it needs a short jumper wire from a "A" to An "F" and but it as per one he had laying around. I followed the wiring diagram fror an 89(mine is a 91 TXT). Everything is hooked up right, But I still am only getting 13 volts to the battery, even with the "DF" grounded out. The short jumper wire was on the old start/gen but not on the wiring diagram. I am going to replace the VR but not sure if that is going to do the trick. The motor runs great but the battery does not charge. I changed the jumper wire but lost the forward, reverse or both in doing that so I left it off. Any ideas???????

sounds like someone did surgery on the cart. Go thru the diagram and cart thoroughly just to be sure. check the generator belt tension and then I would move to the VR as the next culprit. Clean all of your grounds as well.

I cleaned everything up, and still had the same problem. I found a junk 90 and used the vr from that one and its is now charging.I posted pics under my profile as my $100 cart. I will rebuild the other motor, paint and unsure of what else. thanks to all for your input.
