Strange issue 2008 Precedent

2008 48v Precedent
Will go forward just fine but no reverse!!
check the switch and even reversed the wires - no change.
tested the wire resistance at the 16 pin connector to switch and there fine.
tried 3 different controllers.
reversed the field wires on motor and then it will go in reverse but no forward.
Had motor checked out anyway at local shop - good
Does anyone have any suggestions??

Does the reverse buzzer work?
If it's a curtis controller it will provide negative for the reverse buzzer when it gets reverse signal from the FnR switch.
On an IQ cart the reverse input at the controller will be a Blue wire on pin 16, which will be all the way on the end of the connector. Make sure the controller is getting 48v in on the Blue wire when R is selected. If not, there is an issue with the blue wire or the FnR switch.
Check that the Red wire at the FnR switch is showing 48v from the pack.

I found the issue someone reversed the forward and input wires on the switch so even when switched them to test it still was not providing power back to the controller to let it know its in reverse!!!
